DRAKE AND RICK ROSS ARE MAKING A JOINT ALBUM TOGETHER: Drake and Rick Ross may be making a joint album together. According to Uproxx, former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson revealed the news that the two will be working on the joint project. He said, “The joint album they’re doing together will unseat all projects they’ve done to date.” The two recently collaborated on “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” on Drizzy's Scary Hours 2 EP.
JAM MASTER JAY MURDER SUSPECT HIT WITH NEW CHARGE IN SUPERSEDING INDICTMENT: According to Allhiphop, United States Attorney Seth Du Charme just filed new charges against Karl Jordan Jr., also known as Little D in a superseding indictment. Jordan was hit with a new gun charge for using a firearm in connection with a drug trafficking crime. The new count has claimed Jordan was carrying a gun between March of 2016 and August of 2020 when he was allegedly trafficking more than 280 grams of cocaine. Last year, Jordan — along with Ronald “Tinard” Washington was charged with killing the Run DMC icon. The two could face the death penalty.
CITY GIRLS' JT DEACTIVATES TWITTER AMID BACKLASH OVER HER TREATMENT OF FAN WITH CANCER: City Girls' JT has deactivated her Twitter once again after receiving backlash for her treatment of a fan with a cancer. A fan named Shaddai Randolph reached out to the rapper, requesting five minutes of her time. She also accompanied her message with a photo of her on a hospital bed surrounded by loved ones. She wrote, “Hey JT, sorry to bother u. I know I’ve said this b4, but I’m a fan of urs and I think ur amazing and funny. Seeing u help me keeps my spirits up when I’m in pain. I’m dying and have cancer. You said u would DM me but never did. I still would like to FaceTime you for 5 mins if possible. Luv u.” Randolph later claimed that JT blocked her. JT admitted to blocking her and said she did so because Randolph “was writing under every one of my posts.” Randolph’s Twitter was also later deactivated. JT later explained in a video, “She was writing under everything, and then I was in the middle of a motherf*cking argument … people was arguing with her, there was too much going on.” She added, “I would never say f*ck nobody with f*ckin’ cancer. Get the f*ck outta here.”
MEGAN THEE STALLION CALLS ON TARAJI P. HENSON, POLITICIANS, 300 ENT., FASHION NOVA, REVLON, DOLCE & GABBANA & MORE TO REBUILD HOUSTON: According to Allhiphop, Megan Thee Stallion has teamed up with the National Association of Christian Churches (NAAC) Disaster Services and U.S. Representative Sheila Jackson Lee to raise funds to rebuild and repair homes for senior citizens and single mothers for free. The list of those partnering with the rapper also includes Taraji P. Henson, her label 300 Entertainment and brand partners Fashion Novia, Mielle, Revlon, The Coach Foundation and Dolce and Gabbana. The donors will help select Houstonians in need over the next two years. She shared a flyer via Instagram, “It is always very important for me to help give back to the city that made me. I just want to say thank you to everyone who came together with me to help rebuild my hometown of Houston Texas.”
BOBBY SHMURDA LINED UP GIGS FOR ALL-STAR WEEKEND: Bobby Shmurda had a few gigs lined up in Atlanta for All Star Weekend this past weekend. According to TMZ, the rapper and 50 Cent are hosted a welcome back party at Compound nightclub and made $125,000. He also booked several smaller events that ultimately bought in more than $300,000 for a few days' work. Meanwhile, Rowdy Rebel also bought in $59,000 for his show at Halo Lounge.
HOUSTON RAPPER CHUCKY TRILL FATALLY SHOT IN ATLANTA: Houston rapper Chucky Trill was shot and killed early Friday morning (March 6th) while visiting Atlanta for All Star Weekend. He was 33. According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Trill, born Corey Detiege, was found shot inside a vehicle on I-85. He was transported to a local hospital where he later died. Just hours before the shooting, Detiege was in the club watching Erica Banks perform for All-Star weekend. Houston rapper Bun B took to Instagram to remember Chucky, saying, “Damn. This was a good man. Humble. Hard-working. Loyal. Determined. Focused. And he had the talent.”
