TRAVIS SCOTT RESPONDS PROJECT HEAL 'PR STUNT' CRITICISM: Travis Scott's legal team has defended the rapper's new initiative Project HEAL — which has been called a “PR Stunt” by the families of the victims of the Astroworld tragedy. Moreover, the family of Ezra Blount, the youngest victim of the tragedy, claimed that the new project violates the gag order placed on the hundreds of lawsuits filed in the wake of the deadly tragedy. According to Rap-Up, Travis' lawyers have defended his right to “make public statements about his ongoing philanthropic work, even as it relates to public safety.” The statement continued, “It also runs afoul of the First Amendment, which guarantees parties like Mr. Scott the right to speak publicly about important philanthropic work that began long before the Astroworld Festival or… almost immediately afterward.”
TEKASHI 6IX9INE SAYS HE IS CURRENTLY 'STRUGGLING TO MAKE ENDS MEET': Tekashi 6ix9ine says he is currently “struggling to make ends meet” and he won't be able to pay damages for his involvement in the robbery of two people on April 3rd, 2018. According to court documents obtained by AllHipHop, 6ix9ine admitted he is going broke, has no record deal, and is struggling to maintain his lifestyle. He said, “Right now, I am struggling to make ends meet. I do not know if I will ever command the kind of advances I was paid before my arrest, and my career stalled.” Reports state the Brooklyn rapper’s deal with TenThousand Projects expired last month, and he has not released music since his 2020 album ‘TattleTales.’ 6ix9ine does have a publishing deal. However, his royalty account remains unrecouped due to significant advances he accepted. In addition, he is not receiving any income from the agreement.
